01 — About Erth

A wardrobe rooted in memory.

Erth (إرث) is a clothing concept built around a single idea: that the stories of a place can be carried on cloth. Born in Saudi Arabia, raised in modern silhouettes.

We design garments that connect younger generations with the people, the architecture, and the language that shaped this land — translating heritage into pieces that belong to today's streets.

Each release is a chapter. Each chapter, a place worth remembering.

02 — The Story

Chapter One: Diriyah.

العوجا

Al-Awja — "The Bend"

العوجا — Al-Awja — is the historic name first given to Diriyah, drawn from the bend of Wadi Hanifah that cradled the city. It is more than a word. It is a coordinate, a lineage, a quiet pride.

Diriyah, the birthplace of the Saudi nation, was founded on the banks of that valley in the 15th century. Its mud-brick walls, its narrow alleys of At-Turaif, its silhouettes against the desert sky — these are the visual language of our first collection.

We chose Diriyah because heritage should not feel distant. It should sit on your shoulders. It should walk with you.

03 — Research & Craft

Studied. Sourced. Made.

Months of research into Saudi heritage and the history of Diriyah shaped the narrative. The same care went into the garment itself — sourcing fabric, comparing mills, and interviewing factories until every decision earned its place.

The final piece is built on American Supima Cotton at 180 GSM — a long-staple cotton prized for its softness and durability — and printed with high-resolution DTG to render the calligraphy with archival detail.

05 — Personal Project

From idea
to object.

Erth began as an IB Personal Project — a year-long exercise in turning a single concept into a real, finished product. Every step below is a step actually taken.
  1. I
    Idea
A single thought: heritage should be wearable. The seed of Erth as an IB Personal Project — a brand built around storytelling, not just product.
  2. II
    Research
Months reading about Saudi history, the founding of Diriyah, the meaning of Al-Awja, and the visual language of the First Saudi State.
  3. III
    Sourcing
Comparing mills, fabric weights, and finishes. Settling on American Supima Cotton at 180 GSM for hand-feel, drape, and longevity.
  4. IV
    Production
Communicating with factories, refining the fit, selecting DTG printing for the calligraphy detail, and overseeing the first run.
  5. V
    Release
A complete photoshoot, a brand identity, and a website — the chapter, finally, in your hands.

06 — Reflection

What the project taught me.

Translating cultural narrative into garment design.

Research Skills

Synthesising historical sources into a brand story.

Communication

Working with factories, photographers, and collaborators.

Problem Solving

Iterating on fabric, fit, and print until each detail held.
